This is a black and white 8 x 10 photo, autographed by a great baseball legend Bob Shawky. James Robert "Bob" Shawkey won 207 games in his career, and won 20 or more games (per season) five times (his high was 26). Shawkey is noted as the starting pitcher in the first game played in Yankee Stadium on April 18, 1923, and held the Yankees record for 15 strikeouts in a single game. That record stood until Whitey Ford broke it in the early-1960’s. Bob credited his success to a super fast ball and an outstanding curve ball. This piece would fit perfectly in any memorabilia collection, and certain to be cherished by any Yankees memorabilia collector. This photo comes matted and framed, and also includes two (2) Forensic Certificates of Authenticity
